Several Centerbrook Projects are Recognized

CENTERBROOK, Conn. -- Various media and two national organizations recognized Centerbrook designed buildings recently.

The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut was featured on NBC-TV Channel 30 and on Tradeline.com, a national publication covering facilities planning and design. The NBC broadcast also showcased another Centerbrook project in progress nearby: the academic addition and renovation to the University of Connecticut Health Center.

The Hotchkiss School Biomass Heating Facility received the top award for Green Building with Wood from the Wood Design Awards and also was featured on World-Architects Review website and in Connecticut Wildlife, the magazine of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The new museum and library at LancasterHistory.org in Pennsylvania won a National Pyramid Award of Excellence from the Associated Builders and Contractors National Excellence in Construction Awards. Both projects previously had won awards from AIA New England and AIA Connecticut.

The website Eco-Building Pulse featured the Centerbrook-designed Health Care REIT’s national headquarters in Ohio as one of ten green projects its visitors liked most in 2013.
