A modern take on a classic farm table, the four-by-eight foot Slapstick Table features an eccentric crisscrossing leg design and is made from solid Appalachian black cherry. The table and an accompanying Centerbrook bench are available from Curran of Seattle, Washington.

Designed by Centerbrook partner Mark Simon with colleagues Edward Keagle and Peter Cornell, the table won a 2009 Good Design Award given out by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture Art design and Urban Studies. Previously, the table had won a silver medal in the 2008 Design Excellence Awards.

A number of Centerbrook buildings, both residential and commercial, have incorporated the Slapstick Table.
