Centerbrook Projects in the News

A number of Centerbrook projects have been profiled in the media in 2011, led by Kroon Hall, the new home to Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. On its website in April, Metropolis magazine chronicled the effort it took to keep the project as sustainable as its proponents had initially wanted it to be. Architectural Record included Kroon Hall in an article about the latest in acoustic design in its February print edition. Centerbrook collaborated with Hopkins Architects of London on the building.
The Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island has been named to Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s annual “Hot List” that was announced in its May issue, one of only 18 properties chosen in the United States. The iconic resort hotel also was featured in a piece on windows in the March issue of Architectural Products, as well as in the February edition of Soundings magazine.
Two Centerbrook houses, one in Guilford and one in Essex, Connecticut, were profiled recently. The Hartford Courant published the house and studio of a Yale music professor on the cover of its Home Section.
The ten micro-restaurants and food service component at the new Center for Community at the University of Colorado at Boulder was the facility design project of the month in FS&E magazine.
