Centerbrook in the News

Centerbrook buildings or articles written by staff members have been in the media recently, highlighted by Inhabitat.com’s profile of Yale University’s Kroon Hall – which was designed by Hopkins Architects of London in collaboration with Centerbrook as the Executive Architect. Partner Mark Simon, FAIA, led Centerbrook’s design effort. The reviewer introduced the project participants by stating that “Yale brought together a dream team of some of the world’s leading architects and engineers…”
In College Planning & Management Magazine, Centerbrook Partner Jefferson B. Riley, FAIA, detailed the challenges of designing and constructing the Quinnipiac University Sports Center with its twin Division I hockey and basketball arenas. Veteran Boston Globe and ESPN journalist Bob Ryan raved about the facilities, calling the basketball venue the best collegiate facility in New England – ahead of such icons as Gampel Pavilion.
Centerbrook Principal Charles Mueller, AIA, had two articles published, one in American Libraries Magazine and the other in Library Journal: the former addressed library design in an era of advancing digital media; and the latter urged a proactive design approach to signage clutter. Education Week published a piece by David Holahan on evolving approaches to educational spaces.
