Projects devoted to the performing and fine arts have always appealed to Centerbook as it emphasizes art in its own work. The firm has designed many museums of art since its first museum at Williams College in 1982 for Director Thomas Krens, now at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Similarly, the firm has undertaken numerous performing arts projects since its first, the Norma Terris Theater, in 1984 for Goodspeed Opera House Director Michael Price.
